If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can not offer you a refund or exchange.
Important Note: All orders must be checked for accuracy before they are submitted. The Flooring Advisor is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any inaccurate or incorrect purchases based on material type, color, quantity, shipment info, or any other user error submitted for processing.
A order may ONLY be canceled if the order has not already been processed. If you need to cancel your order, please contact us immediately to avoid any processing or shipment fees. We do not guarantee after the order has been submitted that we will be able to cancel it or change it. If it has already been processed, you may be subject to a 10% cancellation fee for processing.
To start a claim for refund, you need contact us at customerservice@theflooringadvisor.com with order number and reason for the return. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you further instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without requesting a return will NOT be accepted or refunded.
- You are responsible for all return shipping costs
- The product cannot be returned if it has been installed, removed and then return to package. Your order must be in its original packaging and be in the same “as new” and re-sellable condition as it was when it arrived at your home or job site.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately with pictures and description of the item that is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can better evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Special orders and certain items cannot be returned, such as any type of flooring (engineered/vinyl), transitions, personalized items, and water-based products in the winter. We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Please contact us to make sure you order can be returned and exchanged.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. Refunds are issued 3-7 business days after the product has been received and it will be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
